Program Director:

Sheriff Ray Nash - ret.

The founder of the Police Dynamics Institute, Sheriff Nash serves as IPP's Program Director. With over 40 years of experience in the police profession, including agency head of three different law enforcement organizations, he has an extensive background and unique perspectives in leadership, training, and best practices in the field of police polygraphy. A state and federal court-qualified expert witness in multiple law enforcement disciplines, he continues to provide subject matter expertise in police training, procedure, leadership, policy development, and polygraph protocols. Adjunct Faculty:

Steve Duncan

Now retired as Polygraph Unit Supervisor with the Georgia Department of Public Safety, Steve has over 27 years of experience as a polygraph examiner having conducted thousands of tests. He is a past president of the American Polygraph Association and now provides instructional services to a number of professional polygraph agencies and organizations. Dan Sosnowski

With over 40 years as a polygraphist, Dan has served as President and Board Member of the American Polygraph Association, Director of the British Polygraph Academy (London), and Vice-President/Program Director for Argenbright International Institute of Polygraph. A seasoned instructor in both polygraph techniques and forensic interviewing, Dan has also presented court testimony as an expert polygraph witness in both state and federal courts.


Staff Psychologist:

Dr. William Burke - PhD

Dr. Burke is a leading researcher and pioneer in the field of forensic psychology, especially as it relates to violent sexual offenders, renegade law enforcement officers, and other deviant psychopathologies. He developed many of the international testing protocols for the treatment of sex offenders and identification of violent and deviant behavioral profiles. He formerly served as the staff psychologist for the Dorchester County (SC) Sheriff's Office and stays active in the field of research and mental health treatment of high-risk personality profiles. Wayne Porter

Adjunct Faculty:

Wayne Porter

As a retired criminal profiler with over 40 years experience as a polygraphist, Wayne brings a strong background and depth of understanding regarding deviant sexual behavior to the IPP team. Over the years he has amassed a collection of case studies that participants will find disturbing, but helpful in enhancing their understanding of sexual deviancy and the behavioral clues associated with reoffending activities. Wayne has trained over 15,000 officers in criminal profiling, forensic interviewing, polygraph, and investigative techniques.

Staff Attorney:

Ray Chandler, Esq.

Attorney Ray Chandler has enjoyed a distinguished legal career that spans five decades. A retired Captain in the Army Judge Advocate General Corp, he served as Chief Counsel for the SC Firefighters’ Association for over 30 years. A colorful and engaging speaker, Ray is a strong proponent of the use of the polygraph in both criminal and civil litigation.

Business Manager:

Gary Curry

With a background in Accounting and Project Management, an MBA, and years of experience as a business owner, Gary served the US International Narcotics and Law Enforcement Division as a Professional Mentor to the Afghan National Police where he assisted Coalition Forces in matters regarding land acquisition and dispute resolution, facilities design and construction, and other secure infrastructure development. He currently serves as the Business Manager and Marketing Director for the Police Dynamics Institute.


Physiology Instructor:

Jordan Nash, Nurse Practitioner

After distinguishing himself in the Marines as a Sergeant/Section Leader in Operation Iraqi Freedom and graduating from the University of SC - Upstate with a BS degree in Nursing, Mr. Nash went on to become a Nurse Practitioner. He actively serves in that capacity, specializing in emergent and critical care. He holds a second-degree black belt in American Tactical Ju-Jitsu and is certified in advanced life support and crisis intervention. Follow this link for Mr. Nash's detailed CV.


Physiology Instructor:

Kelsey Steedly, Physician Assistant

Mrs. Steedly currently serves as a hospitalist for the Trident Medical Center in Charleston, diagnosing and treating patients with emergent conditions. She specializes in both gastroenterology and internal medicine. After graduating Summa Cum Laude from Clemson University with a major in biology and a minor in psychology, she went on to become the valedictorian of her Physician Assistant class.
